FAQ
The German-Iraqi Forum for Cooperation and Sustainable Development is an initiative founded in Berlin that builds bridges between Germany and Iraq. We advance education, knowledge transfer, environmental protection and social participation — grounded in partnership on equal terms.
Our work is guided by our statutory purpose: advancing development cooperation, education, the equality of women and men, and environmental protection. At its heart lies the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two countries.
Any natural or legal person who supports our aims can become a member — regardless of origin or place of residence. The Executive Board decides on admission on the basis of your application. You can find out more on our “Become a Member” page.
The amount of membership fees is set in a separate schedule of fees in accordance with our statutes. We are happy to share the current fee rates with you on request.
The association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes in accordance with its statutes. It is currently in formation; registration in the register of associations and confirmation of the statutory requirements by the tax office have been applied for.
There are many ways to contribute — for example through volunteering, professional expertise or partnerships. Write to us via the contact form, and we’ll find a suitable path together.
Our work and this website are trilingual: German, English and Arabic. In this way, we aim to reach people in Germany and Iraq alike.
